AnYtown Alabama

High schoolers Parents,

There is an amazing summer opportunity that we think will be good for your high schoolers. Anytown Alabama Teen Leadership Summit is a summer residential institute where high school students develop leadership skills that they take back to their schools and communities. Student “delegates” come from all over greater Birmingham and represent different races, genders, religions, schools, neighborhoods, immigration statuses and abilities.

This year, Anytown takes place June 3-9, 2018. Rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students are encouraged to apply before the final deadline of April 13th. The deadline has been extended for the Muslim community.

This will be during the month of Ramadan but be rest assured  that the  leadership of the Summit is committed to make arrangements to have a refrigerator which will be appropriately stocked and accessible to Muslims at the hours it is needed.  Time away for prayer and other needs is totally embraced.  In short, they will do all they can to make Ramadan as comfortable as possible!  Also they have two Muslim staff members who will make sure that the Muslim participants have an enjoyable Ramadan.

I hope you take advantage of this awesome opportunity!
